School Council gives our children an opportunity to have their opinions and ideas heard.
Last year their ideas contributed to many improvements across the school and in the playground.
School Council also helps children to develop their understanding of democracy and how our Parliament works. This year the School Council will be attending trips to both Wandsworth Council and the Houses of Parliament where they can see democracy in action!
School council members are as follows:
Year 1: Jake and Ani
Year 2: Keyva and Wasay
Year 3: Abdullah and Shaima
Year 4: Riad and Ruwayda
Year 5: Unaiza and Omari
Year 6: Jalees and Hana
The School Council visited the Wandsworth Council offices and Town Hall on Wednesday 22nd February.
We were very well represented and it was a very interesting tour, during which the councillors met the Chief Executive and the Leader of the Council, all kindly organised and hosted by our local Councillor, Malcolm Grimston,
... who wrote to us that;
The School Council really did Ronald Ross proud this afternoon – intelligent and interesting questions, a charming manner and a real sense of humour!
We all loved having them and they are a credit to all involved, not least of course the staff at RR.

School Council planting outside local development
Some members of our School Council went to the Cambium development and worked hard, planting a variety of plants to brighten up the outside of the development. Keep an eye out for the flower bed as you pass!
